Boutique Family Law firm located in West Los Angeles is seeking a fulltime associate attorney. The candidate will work alongside the Supervising attorney, a Certified Family Law Specialist, with seventeen years of experience exclusively in family law. The candidate will also work with fellow associates and legal staff to provide exceptional service and outstanding results to all clients. The ideal candidate shall possess an interest or background in family law. The candidate shall be able to meet deadlines, able to propound and respond to discovery, draft, negotiate, and review court documents such as pleadings, declarations, or settlement agreements, and enjoy being in the courtroom. The candidate should also possess strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and be a highly motivated professional that can take initiative, and work independently as well as within a team. The compensation and benefits depend on experience. This position is not a remote position.Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court and at settlement conference and/or mediations
- Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
- Advise clients on family law matter
- Issue and respond to Discovery
- Draft, Prepare, and Review Disclosures
- Negotiate settlements for custody, visitation, property disputes, support
- Comply with all civil procedures and family code and Court rules
- Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
- Previous experience in family law
- Familiarity with various legal documents
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
