Description:
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Estate Planning Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will meet with clients, provide legal advice and representation to clients and appear in court as needed.
Duties:
- Facilitate meetings with clients in order to create estate plans
- Make assessments of client needs and suggest suitable services
- Assign projects to paralegals or legal aides
- Conduct estate plan signing meetings
- Maintain records and collaborate with paralegals and legal aides to guarantee quality and timely completion of work
- Stay current with the latest estate planning techniques, probate rules, and relevant regulations
- Attend courts, either virtually or in person, for probate and motion hearings
- Keep track of billable hours and report to the supervising attorney weekly
- Monitor case status and provide clients with updates
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Proven experience as an attorney specializing in estate planning for at least 3 to 5 years, with preference given to those with experience with taxable estates. If you do not have estate planning experience, you will not be considered for this position
- A strong liking for interacting with people through in-person, phone, or Zoom conversations
- Proficiency in Wealth Counsel or similar software
- Unfazed by technology and eager to learn new skills
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
