Description:
Our firm is searching for an estate planning associate attorney who is capable of outstanding communication skills and organizational abilities to join our growing firm in central Arkansas.What's different about an estate planning and elder law practice? You will have a high-level of job satisfaction, serving clients, and making sure their wishes are confirmed in a will, trust, power of attorney, or other estate planning documents. The design of our firm is to avoid contested domestic cases, drama, and stress and replace it with a rewarding practice of planning and protecting assets from one generation to the next.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs, analyzing the situation, then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
- Draft wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
- Record deeds
- Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current
- Collaborate with senior attorney and paralegals to effectively move files through the estate planning process.
- Effective in advising clients on and leading a support team in funding trusts/aligning assets with the client's estate plan
- Manage estate administration from open to close
- Oversee, counsel, guide, train, and mentor paralegals and legal staff, including assigning work and monitoring work product
- Monitor relevant caseload pipeline and act as necessary to move cases progressively forward and through the pipeline in accordance with defined milestones
- Engage in Business Development and Community Engagement
- Manage Client Relationships
Qualifications:
- Great intergenerational communication skills
- Wide range of knowledge regarding real estate-related topics such as title insurance, wills and trusts, and property management
- At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on estate planning and probate law issues is preferred.
- 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position
- Licensed member of the Arkansas Bar or pending results
