The Employment Services Practice Group of An American Business and Litigation Law Firm seeks to hire a Staff Attorney with a minimum of three years' legal experience to join one of our West Coast offices. The position will focus on workplace safety and health projects, primarily in the context of client interactions with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration ("OSHA") and similar state agencies. The ideal candidate will have experience with dealing with government agencies, including legal compliance and inspection counseling, resolving citations, responding for requests for documents, and representing employers in legal disputes arising out of enforcement actions. Prior law firm or in-house experience, and prior experience in safety or compliance, is strongly preferred. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual with a demonstrated ability to handle matters independently. Applicants should be comfortable working in a team environment as well as have the ability to handle significant individual responsibilities. The group is collegial and fast paced, and this position provides excellent opportunities for professional development though it is not at present a partnership track position.

Candidates must have an active, in good standing state bar license, excellent writing skills, high level of attention to detail and responsiveness, and positive professional references.
