Position Summary:
Our St. Thomas, VI office has an opportunity for an Associate Attorney to join the firm's dynamic and long-established practice and represent premier local and national employers. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who are proactive and passionate about assuming a high level role providing legal service within a sophisticated practice and who are seeking to assume a significant role in all aspects of labor and employment law. This role requires extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, educational institutions and opposing counsel.

Duties include all aspects of corporate labor and employment legal representation, but are not limited to, developing creative ideas and pragmatic solutions for client problems, litigation and trial work, and resolving governmental and workplace investigations.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in the US Virgin Islands. During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice.
  • Candidates must possess 3+ years of labor and employment experience.
  • Candidates must possess experience conducting and defending depositions, and must possess second or first chair experience representing employers before administrative agencies, in arbitration, and in bench or jury trials.
  • Candidate must have experience preparing and arguing dispositive motions, and must be able to provide excellent written and analytical work.
