Description:

Position Responsibilities:
  • Providing legal and commercial advice in support of A Japanese Multinational Air Conditioning Manufacturing Company procurement and manufacturing organizations, with responsibilities including drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of vendor, supply/procurement, and services contracts, including long term supply agreements, purchase orders, general terms and conditions, service contractor agreements, and other similar agreements.
  • Managing and maintaining template agreements, contract playbooks, and procurement processes, as well as coordinating with the business to ensure proper documentation of vendor relationships, timely renewals, and general contract life-cycle management.
  • Providing legal counsel in support to the company on other transactional legal needs on an as-needed basis, including product sale and distribution, marketing, and other commercial matters. Real estate experience (commercial leases) preferred, but not required.
  • Providing legal and compliance training on various topics to company personnel.
  • Anticipating, researching and communicating regarding legal issues that could impact the company.
  • Works collaboratively and effectively with Legal Department colleagues, internal business and functional teams, risk management, and other functions.
  • Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.

Knowledge & Skills:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Adobe Professional.? Experience in using contract lifecycle management systems is a plus.?
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and develop and maintain positive relationships with others at all levels inside and outside the company.
  • Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the job.

Experience:
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years law firm and/or in-house experience. Experience with consumer product manufacturing and distribution is a plus.?
