This is a professional classification whose primary responsibility is to advise and assist the Missouri Gaming Commission in carrying out its legal responsibilities and duties. Superior writing and communication skills required.

Responsibilities - What you'll do
  • Advise and represent the Commission in all matters related to gaming, presently including Casino Gaming, Bingo and Fantasy Sports. Duties also include researching legal issues and providing legal advice in matters such as disciplinary actions against licensees, background investigations, general licensing issues, and interpretation of statutes and regulations.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in performing legal tasks.
  • Interact with all levels of the Commission staff, the Attorney General's Office, other government agencies, gaming licensees, and the public.
  • Draft disciplinary orders, resolutions, regulations, legislative provisions, legal instruments, and legal correspondence.
  • Provide general legal advice for any other matter which comes before the Commission.

Qualifications - All you need for success
Qualifications:
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a license to practice law in the State of Missouri as a recognized member of the Missouri Bar in good standing.
  • Preference will be given to those having 5 years or more legal experience.
