Description:

Primary Duties: The successful applicant will be assigned to the Attorney General's Special Prosecutions Unit. This position will primarily be assigned to public corruption cases but may also be asked to handle cases involving insurance fraud, internet crimes against children, and referrals from county prosecuting attorneys. Prosecutors in this unit may also be assigned to assist county prosecuting attorneys in major cases. Duties of this position include handling all aspects of criminal prosecution, from screening and charging through trial and sentencing; working closely with in-house investigators; and appearing in courtrooms throughout Idaho.

Minimum Qualifications Duties: Must be licensed to practice law in Idaho. Jury trial experience is required. Applicant must be willing to occasionally travel throughout the state and must be comfortable handling cases with media attention. Enthusiasm for public service is essential.

Preferred Qualifications: At least two years of prosecution experience is preferred.
