A Business Law Firm seeks to hire an attorney to join the Data and Privacy Mobility Practice Team. This position is open to remote candidates, but the preference is for one of our Michigan offices.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of legal practice experience possessing strong regulatory and/or transactional skills with an expertise and passion for data privacy and emerging transportation technology. Applicants should be well-versed in emerging domestic and international data privacy regulations, especially as related to technology companies and advanced mobility and have experience in: drafting and reviewing data protection impact assessments, privacy policies and product-specific privacy notices; assisting with the implementation of policies and procedures for responding to consumer rights requests and data breaches; reviewing vendor and customer contracts with a focus on security and data privacy issues; and advising mobility and technology providers on domestic and international data privacy laws and regulations.

Successful candidates will possess excellent academic credentials; the ability to simultaneously juggle multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of responsiveness; exceptional attention to detail; and outstanding client service skills. Current or pending CIPP certification preferred. Admission to the Michigan bar is preferred, but not required, as candidates admitted to practice in other jurisdictions will also be considered.
