Position Overview:
Under general direction from division administrator, assistant director or other members of management, plans, directs & coordinates the Child Support Enforcement program; provides legal guidance & recommendations to assist in decision making; handles reviews of complaints and complaint investigations; cooperates with other legal and county agencies regarding various legal issues; manages agency child support enforcement attorneys, professional & paraprofessional staff.

Summary of Job Duties:
Plans, organizes & supervises agency attorney hearing officers, modification specialists, and support staff; oversees the administrative paternity, support & modification processes and state & enforcement related hearings; covers administrative dockets as needed; assists managers in planning & implementing systems & procedures to facilitate the smooth, efficient & timely functions of the work unit; makes recommendations relative to child support enforcement programs; contributes to special projects related to unit and the overall child support program; contributes to training initiatives; makes recommendations and drafts agency policy; implements changes & provides appropriate remedies to insure program compliance.

Prepares & reviews weekly, monthly & quarterly reports; documents, reviews, maintains & analyzes case actiity based on individual & unit contribution; ensures uniformity in court pleadings & responses.

Attends training, staff meetings, conferences & continuing legal education (i.e., CLE).

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Admission to the Ohio Bar per Section 4705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code; a minimum of four years experience as a practicing attorney including a minimum of two years in the practice of family law and mediation of family law disputes as an attorney or in another capacity.
