New Jersey Family Law and Divorce Lawyers, a full-service law firm with offices in Somerville, Morristown, and Freehold is seeking to hire an Associate for its Criminal Law Department.Established in 2004 by the firm's managing partner, New Jersey Family Law and Divorce Lawyers has expanded to serve a variety of client needs in areas of law including family law, business formation and litigation, domestic violence, criminal defense, professional licensing, elder law, estate and wealth planning, guardianships, and mediation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years' experience in criminal defense as private attorney, public defender and/or assistant prosecutor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Criminal trial experience, including hearings and trials in Municipal Court and/or New Jersey Superior Court. Post conviction, Appellate, and Federal experience, beneficial but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Management of criminal cases from inception to trial and beyond.
- Maintenance of regular, effective, and compassionate communication with clients, including jail visits.
- Participation in new client consultations and involvement in business promotion.
