Our Organization and Mission:
The five Regional Counsel offices were created by the Legislature pursuant to Section 27.511, Fla. Stat. in 2007 to provide legal representation to indigent persons. The Regional Counsel Office, Fifth Region is a State of Florida Agency which serves 4 judicial circuits and 13 counties. They are as follows: Fifth Circuit – Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion, Sumter; Seventh Circuit – Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, Volusia; Ninth Circuit – Orange, Osceola; Eighteenth Circuit – Brevard, Seminole. Whether you work in one or all counties, you work for The Regional Counsel who is appointed by the Governor.

Dependency Attorney- The Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, 5th District, is seeking a full-time dependency attorney in Ocala, Marion County, Florida. The position involves representing parents and litigating dependency and termination of parental rights cases. The position also includes representing elderly, and minor clients in Guardianship, Probate, Marchman Act cases, and other civil proceedings. No experience needed.
