Role Description:This is for an Of Counsel/Contract Attorney. The Attorney will be responsible for in-person attendance at night meetings of zoning boards, planning boards, town councils, and the like throughout Rhode Island. Possible additional remote work, including litigation, available on specific issues. May lead to full time associate position.
Some experience in municipal and land use law is preferred, but we will train the right candidate. This is an ideal job for a parent or caregiver that needs or wants to be home during the day, but wants to work evenings (Monday through Thursday).
Qualifications:
- Law degree with admission to the Rhode Island bar
- Ability to think on your feet
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Municipal Law or Land Use Law experience a plus.
