What we expectThe Compliance Officer of the Americas has the responsibility to perform compliance governance functions on behalf of the Head of Group Compliance, to advise on compliance issues (anti-corruption, antitrust, anti-money laundering, data privacy, export control), to promote integrity in ams An Electronics Manufacturing Company's day-to-day business and to ensure that business conduct complies with the law and regulations.
- Provide competent compliance advice in complex business transactions and therefore develop expertise in BUs business areas, strategy, environment (business models, partners, competitors) and understanding of internal business partner motivations.
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of comprehensive compliance management system including policies, procedures and tools
- Provide education and training to employees related to the Code of Conduct and compliance related policies. Review and approve of business partners and third-party invitations
- Assists in responding to suspect violations of the Code of Conduct and related policies by managing and conducting investigations of such violations and recommending corrective actions as appropriate
- Be a primary point of contact for data privacy compliance matters in the Americas
- Assess and monitor changes in all relevant laws, regulations and rules
Who we are looking for:
- Minimum of a Master of Laws Degree, Juris Doctor or Doctor of Juridical Science
- Must have pass a Bar Exam and licensed to practice law in at least one State within the United States.
- Strong college and law school record (top 1/3 of class preferred)
- Minimum of three (3) years of legal experience, at least partially with a major law firm, corporate legal department and/or government agency
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent business understanding with a feeling for antitrust and competition law risks in sales and criminal law contexts
- A passion and ability to advice and influence senior business people on compliance matters
- Excellent communication and presentation skills utilizing MS Office Suite
- Primarily Remote opportunity | Must be able to periodically commute to either the Hillsboro, NH or Plano, TX office locations
