About the Position:

Our City Attorney serves as our chief legal advisor providing services and advice to the city government, Mayor, City Council, departments, and committees.

The City Attorney will join a high performing organization as a member of our collaborative executive leadership team. The City Attorney is responsible for advising City officials, staff, boards and commissions on matters pertaining to the law, codes, regulations, and legal procedures.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of legal expertise in areas related to land use law and municipal government, display a positive leadership style and take a collaborative and creative approach to problem solving.

The candidate selected will have the opportunity to live in and serve our beautiful community and make a positive impact on A Government Entity and its citizens through collaboration with elected officials, city management, staff and engaged and inspired committee members.

The proposed work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 pm. with attendance at evening Council meetings required.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Juris Doctorate Degree is required; and two years of experience as an attorney with experience preferred in these areas: real estate, business transactions, employment law or land use.
