Overview:The Houston office of A National, General Practice Law Firm, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Litigation Practice.
The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) to three (3) years of motion practice experience, including a working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure and excellent advocacy and writing skills. Admission to the Texas Bar is required.
Our lawyers regularly handle a wide variety of civil appeals and extraordinary relief proceedings across many areas of law, including: class action and mass tort, commercial litigation, construction, elder law, employment, healthcare, insurance coverage and bad faith, products liability, intellectual property, toxic torts/environmental litigation, and many others.
The successful candidate will have experience with writing effective briefs, conducting legal research, and preparing motions, briefs and other legal memoranda. Judicial clerkship experience in appellate or federal court is strongly preferred.
