We're actively seeking a talented Attorney to join our Office of General Counsel team in Newport Beach, CA (hybrid work schedule). You'll play a key role in supporting the rapidly growing Institutional Division, fostering A Life Insurance Agency growth and long-term success in our chosen institutional markets, including defined contribution lifetime income.How you will make an impact:
- Delivering differentiated legal and compliance services to the Institutional Division, including services related to product design and development, marketing and distribution matters, and operational structures
- Partnering with Enterprise Compliance to ensure the Institutional Division has and continues to develop a robust, effective and risk-based compliance program
- Providing direct and indirect leadership and oversight to a team of legal and compliance professionals
- Engaging with industry peers, both directly and through industry trades, to identify, leverage or develop best practices.
- Law degree and state bar admission
- 8+ years of highly relevant experience
- Comfortable dealing with and making decisions in the face of ambiguity
- Ability to breakdown, understand, and communicate complex issues
- Problem-solving mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills
