Description:
The Role:Due to business growth, Thornton Tomasetti is seeking an Attorney to join our in-house legal team. The role will support our global engineering and design teams in negotiating and managing design contracts. In this role, you will work closely with TT leadership to ensure all contracts comply with legal standards and company values. The role also requires claim handling and knowledge of the litigation process along with the firm's risk management efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and draft customer and vendor agreements.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external counsel as needed.
- Act as a resource and advisor.
- Establish and maintain scalable contracting processes and templates.
- Assist with corporate initiatives, including litigation and employment matters.
- Serve as the liaison between various teams and leadership, ensuring all contracts meet legal and company standards.
Requirements:
- Degree educated.
- 3+ years of previous experience working primarily on design contracts.
- Working knowledge of the Architecture, Engineering and Construction industry
- Experience in using Microsoft Office suite programs – Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills in a positive and approachable manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
