Summary:Top US Injury Attorneys, one of the nation's top mass tort and products liability law firm, located in New York City, is looking for a talented attorney to be part of our collegial team dedicated to Personal Injury. The attorney will represent plaintiffs and should have 3-5 years of experience handling caseloads from inception through trial.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from initiation through resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents;
- Conduct depositions, attend court hearings, and represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings;
- Collaborate with the team to develop effective legal strategies and provide sound legal advice to clients;
- Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information;
- Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the clients' behalf when appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience handling plaintiffs' personal injury matters, with a focus on New York law;
- Experience with medical malpractice cases is preferred;
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school;
- Active license to practice law in New York State;
- Proficient litigation skills, including experience with drafting legal documents, conducting depositions, and courtroom appearances;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment;
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
