Founded in 1971, A Full-Service Creditors Rights Law Firm is a full-service creditor's rights law firm representing clients in Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia. This position will be based out of either our Louisville, KY or Ft. Wright, KY office.

Kentucky Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for a licensed Kentucky attorney, an additional Ohio and/or West Virginia license is beneficial but not required. Excellent communication, organizational, and people skills are essential for the position. The right candidate will be a self-motivator, someone who works well with little to no supervision and driven to create, facilitate and reach their monthly goals. Three to five years of experience in real estate, foreclosure, and/or creditors' right law is preferred but not mandatory. In addition, they will be required to:
  • Represent clients at hearings in multiple counties.
  • Handle a significant Kentucky caseload from start to finish with limited supervision through the use of innovative technology and highly trained support staff.
  • Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Manage and coordinate with your team to provide excellent service to the firm's clients.

  • Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to make court appearances and appear at foreclosure sales in designated areas.
  • Basic Knowledge of the national mortgage servicing industry and standard client software such as Black Knight, SSE & Tempo is a plus.
  • A working knowledge of secured creditor bankruptcy issues, or a willingness to learn.
  • Outgoing personality who enjoys interaction with courts, clients, and team members.
  • Detail oriented and able to work well under pressure with accuracy and poise.
  • Good working knowledge of modern technology and the ability to use it effectively.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to multi-task while maintaining a positive culture.
  • A strong understanding of the FDCPA, or willingness to learn.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Kentucky.
  • Admission to practice law in Ohio and/or West Virginia is a plus.
  • Admission to Kentucky federal courts or the ability to obtain admission.
  • Experience with some meaningful combination of real estate law, foreclosure trustee operations, and creditor bankruptcy law is a plus.
