Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience: 4-10+ years of Criminal Defense experience (required)
  • License/Certification: Must be admitted to Practice Law in California
  • Travel required (must have a car, active DL, and car insurance)
  • Client management and interaction skills
  • Extremely detail oriented, organized, able to multitask and handle cases from the onset through completion
  • Poised, polished and professional in self-appearance, courtroom demeanor as well as with clients, and work product
  • Ability to communicate effectively and have good negotiation skills
  • Remain in good standing with the State Bar of California
  • MUST BE admitted to practice in California
  • Criminal defense experience in misdemeanor, felony, resentencing, post-conviction,' some trial experience, plus an assortment of contested motions in California. Willing to train the right candidate with less than 1 years' exposure
  • Familiar with DUI and vehicle-related crimes, including DMV-APS hearings
  • Outstanding work product
  • Case evaluation and strategic analysis
  • Work with minimal or no supervision
  • Tech savvy/computer literate
  • Time management

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Attending daily court appearances at various courthouses.
  • Handling the following types of cases: misdemeanors, felonies, and post-convictions.
  • Visiting clients in jail when necessary or required.
  • Conducting jury trials.
  • Legal researching and writing: Motion writing, blog, articles, etc.
  • Attending and conducting DMV-APS hearings.
  • Performing case evaluation and strategic analysis of cases.
  • Conducting client consultations.
  • Complying with all of the firm's policies and procedures, and with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Compensation depends on years of criminal defense experience.
