Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Attorney to join our legal team. As an Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal advice, representing clients in court, and conducting legal research. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of the law.
Job duties include Family law, civil law, some criminal law, and assisting Real Estate Development and Management company .
Must be barred in New Jersey and New York.
Must have some knowledge of the following:
- Landlord/Tenant issues -such as evictions , leases and laws
- Construction / Contracts / Litigation
- Real Estate Financing and closings
- Some family law and/or civil litigation experience
License/Certification:
Duties:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Prepare and present legal arguments in court
- Review and analyze legal documents
- Assist with the development of case strategies
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in legal drafting, writing, negotiating, and litigating cases
- Proficient in conducting legal research using various resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
