Description:
We are a regional all purpose law firm located in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Texas, and Arizona specializing in civil litigation and insurance defense. We are seeking experienced litigation attorneys to join our Colorado litigation team. We have openings in our Colorado Springs office. Salary commensurate with experience, 5 years minimum experience. A high level of integrity is a must as well as a willingness to work with a team. Must be licensed and in good standing in the state of Colorado.Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in legal hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and in court
- Conduct discovery
- Draft and argue motions and responsive pleadings
- Prepare legal briefs and other writing
- Negotiate settlements
- Maintain strong correspondence with clients and draft legal memoranda
- Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law with the assistance of legal support staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience as an attorney
- Familiarity with the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure and the Colorado Civil Practice & Remedies Code
- Strong research, persuasive writer with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Experience conducting depositions, drafting and responding to discovery, drafting motions and trial preparation
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Must be licensed to practice law in Colorado and must be in good standing with the Colorado Bar
- Licenses in Texas, Arizona, Wyoming or Utah a plus, but not required.
