Job Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision of the General Counsel, represents A Government Entity in contested case hearings, administrative hearings including Office of Motor Vehicle Hearings, the Administrative Law Court, and other appeals as assigned; conducts research and drafts pleadings regarding the Ignition Interlock Device Program (IIDP); provides legal training to agents and other staff and outside stakeholders regarding the IID Program; provides legal advice to all level of employees related to their jobs; drafts and reviews policies and procedures, legislative bills, resolutions and amendments; and performs other duties upon request of the chain of command.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:
A juris doctor degree or its equivalent from an accredited law school and experience as a practicing attorney.

Preferred Qualifications:
A juris doctor degree or its equivalent from an accredited law school and experience as a practicing attorney; member of the SC Bar and two years prior professional legal experience. Admitted to District Court of South Carolina.
