OPG attorneys support the organization's mission to protect the human and legal rights and civil liberties of each individual that OPG serves. Our attorneys provide legal counsel to OPG staff and represent the organization in courts throughout New Hampshire.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Member of the NH Bar Association
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sound judgment, analytical ability and strong attention to detail
  • Professional attitude, compassionate and strong personal ethics
  • Fundamental understanding of guardianship law, landlord/tenant law, trusts and estates
  • Knowledgeable of state and federal benefits and the appellate process when benefits have been denied or terminated
  • Researches and analyzes the law on complex issues and writes persuasive motions and legal briefs
  • Ability to prioritize and meet multiple and competing deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Knowledgeable of the rules of evidence, court rules, state law and case law
  • Represents the organization in legal proceedings and administrative hearings
  • Works closely with attorney co-workers and paralegal
  • Provides training to employees in various legal matters
  • Develops organization policies and positions on legal matters
  • Ability to problem-solve unique and complex issues
  • Researches, anticipates and guards the organization against legal risks
  • Proficiency in the use of technology in performing job responsibilities
  • Commitment to improving the lives of those with mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and individuals with dementia or traumatic brain injury
  • Manages and supervises OPG's property team
