We are a litigation & trial law firm in Redding, California looking to hire a dynamic on-site Litigation Associate to handle personal injury cases. We provide a competitive salary and benefits, along with a positive and collaborative work environment.
The ideal candidate has strong legal research and writing skills.
The candidate must be interested in growing and learning how to be a better client advocate through writing and oral advocacy. They must bring a proactive and growth-minded approach to our firm and the work we do. Responsibilities:
- Case workup from inception through trial and appeal, including but not limited to:
- Review Medical Records and prepare settlement demands
- Prepare pleadings
- Conduct written discovery
- Draft motions and pre-trial submissions (i.e., venue motions, motions for summary judgment, motions for summary adjudication, and motions in limine)
- Conduct depositions
- Appear in Court for case management conferences and motion hearings
- Assist in trial preparation and other litigation needs
- Travel for case related events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Juris Doctorate
- License to practice law in California
- Superb writing skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong legal research skills
- 2-5 years of experience
