Description of Work:
Within this role, you will be responsible for preparing summaries of laws and cases and offering legal advice to investigators and intake personnel. You will have the opportunity to assist higher level attorneys in examining and preparing legal documents, briefs, pleadings and opinions. Duties include preparing cases for trial, in trial work, and conferring with private citizens to advise them on state laws and regulations. This position travels as required and performs related work as needed. When this position is filled, the last day of work will be June 30, 2024.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Temporary, full-time employment.
  • When this position is filled, the last day of work will be June 30, 2024.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility:
Qualifications:
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of law and certificate of admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania; or
  • Completion of all preparatory steps and application to become a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

Post Employment Requirement:
Applicants must be certified for admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and must maintain membership on a continuous basis during employment.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
