Description:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • JD, equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of attorney-level experience working for the government, in-house, or a law firm.
  • Experience in product counseling (e.g., privacy, data protection, intellectual property).
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in the state in which the position is located.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience advising clients in all aspects of product development, with a specific focus on compliance with data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: media, communications, intellectual property, privacy and contract law, litigation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and strategically with sound judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with US and international laws and regulations as it concerns intellectual property, privacy, content regulation, consumer protection, and advertising.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of legal resources that are required for products, such as terms of service, privacy notices, and other disclosures.
  • Respond promptly to a wide range of legal requests from Engineering, Product Management, Advertising Sales, Marketing, Client Services, and other business groups.
  • Provide legal advice to teams from Engineering, Product Management, Advertising Sales, Marketing, and Communications from the initial stages of product development to launch.
