We're looking for an Associate General Counsel, Litigation & Antitrust. In this role you'll work on a wide variety of interesting, exciting and high-profile legal matters at An American Multinational Corporation, focused on protecting and defending the company and its reputation and managing risk world-wide.

What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice to support the operation, growth and development of the company, primarily focusing on management of commercial litigation and certain regulatory matters, antitrust compliance, counseling and advising, and internal investigations.

You will manage litigation matters from pre-litigation through resolution, actively oversee outside counsel and budgeting, and oversee and conduct internal investigations, collaborating with Internal Audit and colleagues in the Compliance Department on matters relating to our Code of Ethics and other important issues. You will work directly with business stakeholders and coordinate closely with An American Multinational Corporation Legal & Compliance Team colleagues, guiding on global risks associated with commercial litigation, antitrust laws and commercial practices. You will also play an integral role in helping to further develop and enhance our antitrust compliance program, and in training legal colleagues and business stakeholders.

What You Need to Succeed:
  • Education/Bar Membership
  • J.D. or equivalent, with top academic credentials

Bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Experience:
  • Substantial experience (ideally eight years or more) in private practice, in-house and/or with a governmental agency (combination preferred), ideally with experience in multinational matters, in substantive areas of commercial litigation and internal investigations, with experience in antitrust/competition law highly valued
  • Experience in a highly-matrixed, multinational, public company environment highly valued

Skills and Abilities:
  • Strategic litigation and sensitive internal investigation skills, including technical skills such as conducting interviews, email and document review, collaborative development of legal strategy, review of legal briefs, and oversight of and attendance at legal proceedings
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage outside counsel and related budgets in a wide range of litigation and investigative matters
  • Ability to build credibility quickly with stakeholders, and to provide practical legal expertise in challenging and complex business situations
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex issues at the same time over various business groups and outside parties
  • Exceptional business judgment and creativity with a track record of collaborating and thriving in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to simultaneously take action that tackles immediate problems while building programs and processes that problem-solve at a programmatic level
  • Ability to distill policies and guidance to their essential, digestible points and develop tools and training on point for specific stakeholders
