The Role:
A World Leader in Orthopedics, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Company would like to recruit an Associate General Counsel. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, this person will serve as a key member of the hospital's Legal Department, supporting many areas of hospital operations. The Associate General Counsel will handle a wide range of medical staff issues, including medical staff bylaws and credentialing and professional conduct matters. The Associate General Counsel will handle physician employment agreements, research employment agreements, and medical services agreements. The Associate General Counsel will support the hospital's Education Institute by handling affiliation agreements, alliance agreements, graduate medical education issues and related workgroups. The Associate General Counsel will also support the Marketing department by reviewing agreements, reviewing marketing collateral and handling communications/media issues. The Associate General Counsel will support various other hospital Departments through policy development and review and workgroup participation. The Associate General Counsel will handle employment matters such as EEOC complaints and human resources policies. The Associate General Counsel may also assist the Compliance department on internal investigations.

Qualifications:
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished, dedicated attorney with at least ten (10) years of experience. This individual may either be in private practice with a sophisticated national and international transactional practice or have started in private practice with a well-regarded law firm in such a practice but has since moved in-house with a health care organization.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as exceptional presence and judgment.
