Department purpose
A Corporate Law Firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join our Capital Markets team in our New York office. Our Captial Markets team focuses on US based transactions on both debt and equity in the public and private markets.

Role Purpose:
A Corporate Law Firm seeks a junior to mid-level Capital Markets associate with 2 – 4 years of U.S. Capital Markets experience. Experience representing both underwriters and issuers in public and private offerings of debt or and equity securities is preferred. A broad-based skill set, including exposure to corporate governance and public company representations is a plus. This is a great opportunity for a strong, driven associate to join a great platform, working on high end, sophisticated CM matters within a supportive group.

The salary range for this position is $225,000 to $435,000 depending on the candidate's JD year. We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages which include a discretionary bonus, paid leave, life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.

Team:
This individual will report directly to the New York Capital Markets partners. The Team also works closely with other partners, associates and staff both in the U.S. and abroad.

Role and Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience representing both underwriters and issuers at a major law firm as well as excellent academic credentials.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree (LLM or foreign equivalent) from an accredited law school.
  • Must be admitted, and in good standing, to the bar in the jurisdiction in which you will practice; or must provide written confirmation as to ability to become admitted in that State or District.
  • Previous Capital Markets experience

  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage your time effectively.
