About the Litigation Practice Group
Our litigation practice has an extraordinary record of success representing clients in complex business, technology, and intellectual property disputes. We represent clients in state and federal courts and in arbitrations across the country. We have recent wins in federal courts in Chicago and New York, state and federal courts in Michigan, and state court in California.

About the Position:
The associate attorney will:
  • Work as part of an outstanding and supportive team to gain hands on experience and mentoring representing clients in complex business, technology, and intellectual property law matters.
  • Research legal issues, draft legal memos, briefs, and pleadings, assist with discovery in litigation matters, attend client meetings, take depositions, and appear in court.
  • Have the opportunity to learn and be involved with other business and intellectual property law practice areas if desired.

About the Candidate:

However, as a general matter, compelling candidates will likely have the following experience, skills, and abilities:
  • Graduate of a top law school and/or with law school honors.
  • 2+ years (3+ years preferred) of litigation experience at a top-tier law firm.
  • Barred in Michigan or can obtain reciprocal admission to the Michigan bar.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and professional.
  • Collegial and fun to work with.
