Description:
Responsibilities:- Perform personal injury intakes for potential new clients
- Manage a pre-litigation personal injury case from inception to settlement
- Review letters to insurance companies and draft any applicable notices
- Maintain heavy client contact throughout the course of the personal injury case from inception to settlement
- Draft and complete a demand package and negotiate a settlement based on pre-determined range of value
- Prepare a settlement statement and facilitate closure of client file upon settlement
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously
- Maintain accurate and organized case files
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in Connecticut
- Experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
