Position:
We're looking for an Associate Attorney. The Estate Planning Attorney will work closely with the Managing Partner and Senior Attorney of An Estate Planning Lawyer. to guide clients and their families through the estate planning and trust administration process. The Attorney will also have the opportunity to develop and manage a wide range of cutting-edge estate planning strategies, build their client portfolio and enhance their skills under the mentorship of the Managing Partner.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of estate planning experience handling matters from inception to conclusion, meeting with clients, developing estate plan strategy, and drafting estate planning documents [including wills and trusts].
  • Proficiency or interest in administering simple and complex estates & trusts; lifetime planning objectives; estate, trust, and fiduciary litigation.
  • Pennsylvania bar required; New Jersey and Delaware bar admissions a plus.
  • LLM degree in Taxation or CPA a plus.
  • Experience with Lackner, Wealth Counsel, and/or ElderCounsel drafting is desired.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial consultation with client(s); identify the appropriate strategy and make recommendations to meet the client's expressed objectives and most ideal outcome.
  • Discuss plans with clients for distributing assets; advise clients regarding retirement plans, real estate, charitable giving, and insurance options, etc.
  • Review estate plans and other documents/agreements prepared by legal assistants and paralegals; assist in the design and implementation as needed.
  • Litigate cases that go to probate court; regularly consult with external parties as needed to effectively move cases forward.
  • Maintain consistent and timely communication with clients; respond to client phone and email inquiries, and schedule client meetings as needed.
