An Education & Municipal Law Firm, is a growing education and labor/employment law firm with offices located in Nesconset, New York, comprised of six attorneys primarily devoted to the representation of schools and libraries. As attorneys for schools and libraries, we handle all general counsel matters, such as student suspensions, special education, general municipal matters, and construction matters; and we handle all labor counsel matters, such as collective bargaining, contract drafting, staff discipline, grievances and sexual harassment. The firm also has a robust insurance defense practice and sits on various insurance panels that insure municipalities in cases ranging from personal injury lawsuits to civil rights claims.An Education & Municipal Law Firm seeks an Associate Attorney to work in all areas of the firm's practice.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor from accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials
- Admission to the New York State Bar
- Ability to work independently or in a collaborative team
- Excellent legal research skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization, problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills
