Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our legal team. As an Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of legal matters and gain valuable family law experience. This is a full-time position based in our office.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
- Assist with case management and preparation for litigation
- Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions
- Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop legal strategies
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
Skills:
- Strong research skills, with proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Ability to litigate cases effectively and present arguments in court
- Excellent negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Knowledge of legal administrative procedures and practices
- Proficiency in legal drafting techniques
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the MS bar association (active and in good standing)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law (experience level may vary depending on the specific position)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
