Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various topics
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and briefs
- Assist with negotiations and settlements
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
- Attend client meetings and provide legal advice
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients
Skills:
- Strong research skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex legal information
- Excellent negotiation skills to effectively represent clients' interests
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents
- Litigation experience to confidently advocate for clients in court
- Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Knowledge of legal drafting techniques and best practices
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association
- Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing law, preferably in a similar role
