Description:

The Austin office of A National Law Firm seeks an attorney with at least three (3) years' experience in civil litigation to join the casualty section of the firm. Candidates should have a working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure, and excellent advocacy and writing skills. Litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, and attending mediations is preferred and previous experience handling personal injury and/or construction defect cases is strongly preferred. Valid Texas BAR license required.

The associate in this position will work on a variety of casualty cases, including wrongful death and survival actions, products liability, premises liability, dramshop, trucking and transportation, and construction litigation, as well as construction defect cases. The associate will handle the day-to-day aspects of this work, including client meetings, reporting and investigation, and taking and attending depositions, hearings, mediations and arbitrations and/or trials. Depending on the size and exposure of the case, the candidate will independently handle the case or work closely with a partner.
