Our growing consumer bankruptcy firm is looking for an Associate Attorney to join our team in Atlanta. We are dedicated to helping our clients improve their financial situation and get a fresh start. No prior experience in bankruptcy law is necessary, as we take pride in training our attorneys in-house.Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in consumer bankruptcy cases, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filings
- Working with clients to assess their financial situation and eligibility for bankruptcy
- Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions and related documents
- Attend court hearings, including 341 meetings and confirmation hearings after
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Stay up-to-date on changes in bankruptcy law and regulations
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Qualifications:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois, or eligible to become licensed
- Passionate about helping people and making a positive impact on their lives
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple cases and deadlines
- Eager to learn and grow within the practice of bankruptcy law
