  • We only employ competent and accountable professionals…so we operate by empowering our team – not micromanaging
  • Begin with competitive base pay AND enjoy a generous performance-based bonus system to recognize your success
  • Enjoy generous health benefits
  • Opportunities to grow and develop within this fast-growing firm

If you align with our vibe (and you read everything above), we are looking for an experienced Associate Attorney to join our team.

Here are some of the qualities we have found will help you excel in this position:
  • You are imaginative, creative, and an analytical thinker
  • You have a strong motivation for finding solutions to aligning the law with complex family scenarios
  • Your approach to work is systematic and patient, characterized by introspection and the development of new ideas
  • Sufficient opportunity to express and act on these new ideas is very important
  • Your communication style will be factual and authoritative when discussing matters in your area of expertise, and you may be quiet and reserved with those outside your inner work circle
  • Most of your work will be done on your own, but you will interface with others on a project basis
  • The job requires a deliberate, unhurried pace, providing plenty of time for serious introspection to be sure you get it right. Most of your decisions will be made alone because you're an expert, and you don't require consistent input. If the job requires delegation, you will follow up closely to assure the accuracy of the work.

If you're the right fit for this job, you know you will appreciate these things about the role:
  • Working at a deliberate pace and having ample time to delve deep into your work
  • Being about to use your strong analytical and problem-solving skills that are based on serious introspection and being deeply involved with the facts
  • Able to make decisions independently, relying on your own knowledge and technical abilities without needing to involve others when problem-solving
  • Being open and friendly amongst coworkers without needing to be a social butterfly
  • You will be somewhat assertive, confident, and direct when speaking about your area of specialization because, after all, you are an expert
  • And for the most part, you will only delegate minor details, checking for accuracy along the way.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
  • Anticipate, prepare for, and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration on behalf of clients
  • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
  • Stay updated on changing applicable laws and statutes on the local, state, and federal levels
  • Provide guidance and advice to paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts

Qualifications: Member of state and local bar associations in good standing
  • 5 years of required experience in the legal field
  • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
  • Bachelor's degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree)
  • Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
  • At least 2 years of FAMILY LAW experience
