Responsibilities:
- Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
- Anticipate, prepare for, and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration on behalf of clients
- Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
- Stay updated on changing applicable laws and statutes on the local, state, and federal levels
- Provide guidance and advice to paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts
Qualifications: Member of state and local bar associations in good standing
- 5 years of required experience in the legal field
- Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
- Bachelor's degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree)
- Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
- At least 2 years of FAMILY LAW experience
