Description:
**Overview:**We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our legal team in our boutique Family Law firm. We are a busy firm with 4 practicing attorneys and looking to add a 5th to our team.
We have dedicated legal staff, both paralegals and legal assistants, to delegate casework. Our firm primarily serves Monterey and Santa Clara counties and some cases surrounding counties. Someone willing to make in-person appearances is needed, though the counties we appear in are majority remote appearance appearance-friendly.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, drafting, negotiation, and litigation. Must have at least 2 years of combined experience in California Family Law and/or Civil Litigation.

*Responsibilities:**
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw
- Assist in drafting legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Provide legal advice and support to clients
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases

- Proficient in Westlaw and legal research
- Experience in negotiating and litigating cases
- Excellent writing skills for legal drafting
