A Law School located in Wilmington, Delaware, currently has multiple, full time, tenure-track faculty opportunities available to begin July 1, 2024, or July 1, 2025. Applications for visitors for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year are also welcome.

We welcome applications from candidates with teaching and research interests in 1L and Upper-Level Division bar tested courses. Priority will be given to the following areas of expertise:
  • Academic Success
  • Constitutional Law
  • Criminal Law
  • Criminal Procedure
  • Evidence
  • Legal Research and Writing
  • Property Law
  • Wills and Trusts

Qualified candidates will have strong academic credentials, including at least a J.D. degree or its equivalent. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of and potential for innovative and impactful teaching, scholarship, and service to the Law School, the University, and the legal profession. We welcome applications from candidates who approach pedagogy and scholarship from a variety of perspectives and methods.

In its sixth decade, Delaware Law School is the oldest and only ABA-accredited law school in the nation's First State of Delaware. Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Primary:
  • Teach law school introductory and upper-level courses.
  • Engage in productive research, scholarship, and service.
  • Demonstrate academic citizenship at all levels within the university.

Secondary:
  • Advise students related to law school and career success.
  • Participate in faculty governance.

Minimum Qualifications (education/training and experience required):
Required:
  • Juris Doctor degree or its equivalent.
  • Demonstrated commitment to legal education.
  • Evidence of scholarly potential. Positions are not limited by area of research specialization.

Preferred:
  • Teaching experience in legal education.
  • Published legal scholarship.
  • Experience with professional service and practice.
