Description:
Primary Purpose of Position:An entry-level to mid-level attorney responsible for providing full legal service to clients under the supervision of a managing or supervising attorney. Carries out legal assignments, including research and preparation of contracts and briefs. Performs non-routine legal assignments.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Performs broad and moderately complex legal assignments that are varied.
- Assists more experienced attorneys in representing A Nuclear Electric Power Generation Company in regulatory proceedings and/or relevant litigation.
- Advises clients with respect to all legal matters.
- Responsible for developing an understanding of each assigned client's business and business philosophy.
- Prepare, and revise as necessary, budgets and early matter assessments for all matters involving outside counsel.
- Projects / duties as assigned

- Supports more experienced attorneys in ongoing relationships and matters with Business Units and outside counsel.
- Able to think strategically and work with Business Units to achieve Company objectives and manage risk.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in one or both of the relevant jurisdictions of New Jersey and Delaware
- At least 4 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Requires excellent legal research, analytical abilities and on ongoing knowledge of federal and/or state law as required by the position.
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly – both orally and in writing; to read and analyze legal materials and other data; to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within a utility or regulatory agency.
