This role provides strategic legal advice on a broad range of legal subject areas which may specifically include, responsibility for one or more areas of legal specialization within the company as directed by the General Counsel.

Responsibilities:
  • Reports directly to the General Counsel
  • Provides strategic legal advice on a broad range of legal subject areas which may specifically include responsibility for one or more areas of legal specialization within the company as directed by the General Counsel
  • Works closely with, and provides support to, senior management and employees at all levels of the company on legal issues, risks, processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Drafts, negotiates, analyzes, and reviews a broad range of documents and corporate agreements, legal memoranda, letters, and other legal documents upon request.
  • Works closely with other members of the Corporate Legal team and outside counsel on assigned projects as appropriate including but not limited to litigation.
  • Resolve legal inquiries from sales, finance, human resources, management, and others.
  • Stay current and provide legal analyses of applicable laws, regulations, and industry guidance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of various legal templates, forms, communications, and operational systems to improve the delivery and scalability of legal resources by working collaboratively with other legal team members.
  • Proactively communicate issues back to leadership and drive sound business, legal, and operational processes, and practices throughout the organization, drafting and implementing related policies

Qualifications:
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited U.S. law school
  • Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction and the ability to waive in as corporate counsel in Ohio.
  • 5+ years of legal experience with working knowledge in the corporate legal discipline including but not limited to Human Resources, Corporate Structure, Finance, Marketing, and Operations
  • General knowledge of legal principles and practices, including civil, contract, employment, administrative and business law and procedures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to be diplomatic, resulting in the ability to interact with all levels of management and employee population.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently but within a team framework with high attention to detail, strong organization skills, and management focus
  • Ability to prioritize work tasks to provide high-quality work to meet internal and external deadlines.
