Join A Financial Services Company as an Assistant General Counsel and support the day-to-day operations of our In-House Legal Department. You'll Get a Chance To
- Draft, review, analyze, and interpret a wide range of legal contracts, ensuring compliance with laws and protecting organizational interests.
- Manage and oversee aspects of litigation, including coordination with outside counsel to effectively represent the company's legal position.
- Administer internal governance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives.
- Foster productive relationships with outside counsel to ensure high-quality legal advice and representation in specialized areas.
- Review annual minutes and assist with the preparation of retiring partner and new partner documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality in all legal matters.
What You Bring to the Team:
- A law degree with 3-7 years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal experience, with an active license to practice law in at least one state.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
- Self-starter who can see a project through to completion with adaptability and strong interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the capability to analyze information and draw logical conclusions.
- Proficient use of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience in partnership law preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold organizational values, including respect and integrity.
