Description:
Overview
The Compliance Law Clerk will conduct legal research on a variety of topics, including consumer protection, labor and employment, and commercial law.

Responsibilities
  • Support legal counsel with management and review of employment and consumer litigation
  • Aid with the investigation, review, and drafting of responses to complaints from consumer and employment regulatory agencies, including the CFPB, BBB, and EEOC
  • Assist with drafting and review of client and vendor contracts
  • Perform compliance monitoring consisting of file reviews, call reviews, and correspondence reviews
  • Preparing reports for senior management on compliance topics
  • Adhere to Company attendance, punctuality, and meal and rest break requirements
  • Maintain concentration and focus in order to meet performance goals
  • React positively to an ongoing, changing environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle pressure when attempting to meet deadlines and performance goals
  • Maintain good working relationship with assigned supervisors and coworkers
  • Work safely without presenting a threat to self or others
  • Perform additional duties as required by management

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. Current 2L or 3L student from an accredited law school

Experience:
0 – 1 year legal experience

Computer Experience:
Employees must be able to type quickly and accurately, use a mouse effectively, and have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office.
